Daniel Ferrer

President of the board

After his time at BME (Spanish Stock Exchange and Markets), Mr. Daniel Ferrer completed his training as an expert in equity markets, MEF, SIBE and BME clearing as well as in derivatives. After this experience he decided to create New Horizon Capital with the purpose to develop advanced artificial intelligence models for the financial sector that not only serve as support in the decision making process for the portfolio managers but also manage to solve the complexity and variability in which this sector finds itself.

Luis Montañés

Board member

Luis has spent a large part of his professional career at Ferrovial, Spain’s leading infrastructure company. There he acquired a solid knowledge of corporate finance within the Financial Risk, Credit Risk and Treasury departments over more than four years. In 2019 he joins New Horizon Capital. Luis has a degree in Business Administration from CUNEF and a Master in Management from IE Business School, where he also studied an Executive Program in Structured Finance and Corporate Finance.

Jose Luís Rodríguez Álvarez

José Luis holds a diploma in International Trade from EPHEC-Brussels, a degree in Economics and Social Policy from Université Mons-Hainaut and has completed a Corporate Management Programme (CMP) at IESE in Madrid. With 18 years’ experience in the financial sector acquired in the Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), he has held the positions of Financial Director and then General Manager of BBVA LuxInvest S.A (Luxembourg) and ScaldisFinance S.A. (Belgium) (2002 – 2018). He has been a member of the boards of directors of BBVA’s investment funds in Luxembourg (UCITS and AIF) and of several banks in the BBVA group’s private network, reporting both to BBVA’s Asset Management business line and to BBVA’s Accounting and Supervisory Relations department (2006-2018). He holds the IDP-C Certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD and is an accredited director of the InstitutLuxembourgeois des Administrateurs (ILA).
